I have been talking to a friend of a friend about getting some professional shots of my car and I want to e-mail her some pictures of cars to give her an idea of what I want.

Yep, that always works out great. I also like VtekII's photos, the last one is SEX... He has a bunch of nice shots in the HDR thread.

Another "technique" that I personally like is to capture half the car or so in a photo. Kinda like these:
