I was walking into school and noticed this old civic notch that was slammed and in the back seat was a compressor looking thing. I've also seen the same looking thing in the bed of an s10 that looked like it was dragged often so I'm guessing it has something to do with performance? :shrug:

For sure that is a suspension setup. They use it to raise and lower the car. I knew a local guy that had a setup like this on his 1994 Impala SS. He would lower the car at a show to about an inch off the ground. Not for me! But he did always get compliments from spectators.
