Problems after blower switch

I installed my ported blower this week.
I also installed the AFCO heat exchanger and went to the track this Saturday to improve my ET a bit.
But to my disappointment I didn’t improve.
I ran 12.32 with the stock blower last year
Yesterday my best ET was 12.52
I really pushed it and gave it 5 tries.
I launched the car at 5000rpm (didn’t do that on the 12.32 time last year, I ran that one from 2000rpm)

Theres nothing wrong with the track since a lot of people ran new personal best, and one world record was set.

The car just doesn’t seem any stronger.

Any guess what the problem might be?

Setup is 2.8 pulley, Steeda tune, Lethal port on blower.

From Philly now Tampa, Fl
Did you get the car retuned. If so I would check for belt slip. The car should atleast be running 11.80s with a decent driver. Also do you have traction that could cost you a 1/2 second. good luck

No retune, i was told i didnt need a retune.
How do i check for belt slip (easiest way to do it)?
Traction was awsome on the track.

Some ideas

A #4 0r #2 lower will really boost those torque #'s on that ported blower....spin it! Also compare your 60' times. Post up time slips if you got'em. Wow! launching at those high RPM's I hope you got the IRS/Clutch supporting mods. Most slip to start then WOT. I don't know about your location but it is hot and humid here. Would be tough to get good #'s. Work with it you should get improved numbers. Good luck

Post the full time slips. We'll be able to disect your runs. You didn't post your
trap speed. That will indicate if there are problems.

Your mile per hour in the quarter mile seems low. I have a steeda 2.81 only with a steeda dyno tune and pulled more hp than your lethal ported blower?? Get it with a dyno tuner who can dial your car in and your should be in the high 400 hp range and run 118-120 trap speeds with your 60' times.

What altitude are you at?

It appears that you're having some major issues. Your missing about 10mph.
Do you have a dyno graph that you can post...done prior to the ported blower
of course since you didn't tuen afterwards.

My suggestion would be to get it on a dyno and have the tune checked out.

Problem is, nobody can tune with the predator in Sweden.

A problem is that i have to switch between 3:d and 4:th gear just before i pass the 1/4 mile mark..i guess i lose some time there.

Edit: im close to sea level.

Heres the tune from Steeda:

steedatune.jpg

Teh only thing changed since this tune is a AFCO heat exchanger and a Ported Blower

You should be trapping 115-117 in the quarter before your blower port based on your dyno sheet. With a 1.8 60foot you should be in the high 11's easy with an extra 25-35 hp from the port.

Can it just be that im a lousy driver?

But still, the blower port should have helped me, bad driver or not.

The blower had a 2.8 pulley already on it.
It was a bit different from my 2.81" pulley from steeda.
The new one had grooves in it, can it be that i got belt slip from it?
I have the gator belt on.

To me....

#1 your A/F looks way too lean. Clutch slipping? Get a good tune at the altitude you are at now. May need MAFX or MAFIA in addition. Spin it and tune it check for clutch slippage. Didn't look like any belt slip to me. Where is the tensioner indicator at? Just some ideas.

Your power/torque curves look pretty good. There's definitely more power
left in the tune though with that ported blower. The A/F is too lean for
my tastes, especially that blip at 6,000rpm, but that wouldn't cause
your mph to be so far off. How much timing are you running?

I'm now leaning toward it being your driving. No offense of course.
Can you tell us how experienced you are? Are you powershifting?
What rpm are you shifting at?
What rear end gear are you running?

Based on your 60' time, you must have some decent skills at least.

There is still something not running right with his new ported blower. Hell, my first attempt down the quarter mile ever was a 12.63 @116 with bog off the line and no powershifting and 2.2 60'.

Did the car "seat of the pants" feel any faster after the port??

I've driven stick shift all my life (im 29) so i guess i know how to drive.
I dont powershift and i let it go failrly easy from the start.

Heres a video from my 12.32 run (judge for yourself)
http://213.115.137.6/daniel/arosburnoutsierra.wmv

When pushing it in 2:nd gear the wheels usually lets go and i burn some rubber.
Right now it doesnt. The car is still fast but somehow i feel that something is missing.

Can i change the A/F myself with the predator?

Nobody in Sweden can tune with the predator.

Well you got out of the hole ok so we can assume you know how to row
the gears. Powershifting will get your another mph or two, but that clearly
isn't the problem. What rpm are you shifting at? It's hard to tell
from the vid, but it sounded like you short shifted into 3rd. Maybe that
was the other car. I couldn't clearly identify your car. You should be
shifting at 6K rpm at the very least.
