Problems putting belt on with BF pullies/idlers?

we messed with it for a bit trying to get the 74.5" belt to slide over the top idler for a few minutes but couldnt get it so we took the top idler off (leaving the bracket of course) and then put the belt on. top idler went back on in 2 seconds. if you are trying to force the belts on with these pullies try taking the top idler off and then putting the belt on. much much easier. i am sure that someone has posted this before but with all the posts i have read with complaints about getting the belt on i thought i would post this.... :pepper:

Exactly. Remove the aux. idler and slip the belt over the blower pulley while having a helper hold down the tensioner with a serpentine belt tool. If you can't get the belt on all the way on the blower pulley, crank the car for a split second a few times and it will pop right on. Then reinstall the idler.
