Wow, I've followed this thread from when you first started this project and that truck has sure come together. I must say good job I know I would have never had the time or patience to do all that you did with that truck.
kinda disappointed since I put down 426 the last time I dyno'd with the red truck. Intake Air temps were 99*. Granted it was in October when I dyno'd the red truck... but I was hoping the headers would help more. Overall I'm happy and its a fun DD. Was creeping up to 17lbs of boost around 5800rpm so he had to keep timing low.
Man this thing looks sick now...Wished I didnt have to get rid of it now lol. Those were my exact plans on it but had to buy mine.Looks good man and props to ya
As the former (second) owner, I've always missed that truck. (see avatar) It is great to see it live on - in black no less. What a beauty, great job! -Vance
and found a complete straight axle. BIG THANKS TO MELMAN!!!! this man is awesome. superfast shipping, awesome packaging and communication.

so, I got the old axle out.
got the new axle all dressed up and looking good
got my driveshaft loop on, had my longbars welded on and painted my slicks in preparation for going to KCIR on the 23rd.
ended up breaking one of the welds on my brackets, and also discovered that the axle shafts in my new rear end were both bent. So I swapped them out with my old rear.
rear is all back together, ground effects on. Putting on the line lock tomorrow. Re-welding the traction bars on saturday. Try 2 for KCIR on sunday.
probably should have done this a long time ago...
ran a best of 12.33 @ 114 at KCIR, looks like the truck is mechanically done. Still needs the rest of the interior put in this winter then should be back to normal.
