Does anyone know the part number or where I can get the plastic plug that goes in the threaded snout of the blower? When I changed pulleys, the plastic plug broke apart. I called 2 dealers, but they had no idea what I was even talking about.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I might have to get one of those as well. Mine got a little damaged trying to pop it out.

It is 100% unnecessary for that to be there. Put a piece of electric tape on it. All it does is keep dust from getting in there, nothing it can do.

It is a 1/4" nylon push pin available from any hardware or automotive store.

Sure it's not required, but it looks a little nicer than a piece of electric tape. I'll check the hardware stores as you suggested.
