Question About Intercooler Bolts - NO, Not What Size Are They

Have you looked at the intercooler itself? Have that pressure tested. Bet that's your point of failure
Thats why I did all this in the first place. It had 2 hairline cracks in it.

I fixed them and then put it in a bucket of water and put air in it and looked for bubbles. There was none.

Really dumb, but did you swap out the o-rings in the intercooler manifold? Also, what is the system rated to? If it's only rated to 8psi and you're pressurizing it to 16 it's going to bleed off.

Yes, I put new Ford ones in. I would always recommend replacing those when the blower is off.

That's how it leaked the first time, the o-rings flattened out.

And I'm not sure on the exact pressure rating. I was wondering that myself for the exact reason you mentioned.

I'll test it again today and let it sit longer than 15 minutes.

Tested it again.

Started at 8 lbs. After 25 minutes it was down to 5. So it's very slow. But still leaking.

Given enough time it goes down to 0.

So it looks like I can't put any fluid in there.
