Steve, have you said what the difference in weight is between each hood? Also, if one were going to paint their hood, would you recommend the DF over the 50/50?

no i havent. in the original GB thread i posted the weight of a full cf hood. cant recall if we weighed the others. theyre very close to each other. cf is only a little bit lighter than fiberglass. i can easily lift each one up over my head with minimal effort lol.

if you plan to paint the entire hood, may as well just get the DF version. its super light as well.

I think I'm interested in a DF hood. Is there a limit on hoods you're making?

Anyone have an idea about how much it costs to paint the top half?

No. No limit.

They really dont need any prep work. As in body work. Theyre nice and smooth. Id say around $500 with blending.

Finally got mine on this weekend. Was pretty easy to install the aerocatch latches, just take your time. I still need to adjust the pins a little bit but otherwise it came out great.

hi guys, sorry i havent been on svtp in quite a while. got a lot of personal stuff going on thats been taking my attention. some big changes coming.

anywho, the order is in. its in late, my fault, but its in. there is still a little bit of time to jump on board but you'd better act fast!

due to being the end of the year and Chinese new year around the corner (Feb) they will likely be ready in early Spring. i know most of you have your cars put away for the winter and i will push to get them as quickly as possible.

also, we're still working on the new latch design but it is coming. they will be able to retrofit to the existing hoods if you decide you want to change yours. once we have them and test fit them etc... ill post up info and pics for those who would be interested in grabbing one for their existing hood.
