26 MPG hwy from a full-size 4 door truck isn't impressive to you???

Can't wait to see what basic intake/tune/exhaust setup will net.

Chevy already gets 25mpg. Hmm
Not really into small diesels in full size trucks

The base price is more than I paid for my 2011 dodge 2500 brand new. It looks like a nice truck to have, just not for that price.

You do realize you can get it in cheaper packages don't you?

The one tested was absolute top of the line loaded to the max Laramie Longhorn

.

I figured mine will cost in the mid 30s

If it has a decent engine it amounts to this: decent engine wrapped by absolute garbage.

How many ram's have you owned and how many miles did you rack up. My family has had them since around 1996. Only issue was the old auto tranny's.

This.

My family has had Chrysler products since the 70s.

I've had many myself along with Fords and Chevys.

Guess which ones I've had the least trouble with.

Barry, you obviously don't know what you are talking about. Owning vehicles can't compare with reading regurgitated crap online.

I've had a diesel from each of the big three and had the least amount of problems out of my Ram.

See below but I'll explain again, There are several trim packages for dodge trucks just like every other brand.
The one tested was a LONGHORN LARAMIE. It is the most expensive there is.
Which do you have?
SLT I bet.
Build out a Crew Cab SLT and let me know where the price range is.
Base for Longhorn, not base for every Ram...

Reading always manages to elude some people.
I guess it does.

Exept you can get a 5.0 cummins in a Nissan Titan.

Cummins Engines

Yep, that is my second option. It also has been discussed in several threads.
I only wish they had stuck with the inline 4 they tested instead of the V8 though.

If this was 10 years I would agree.

It wasn't too long ago that Dodge trucks were JUNK aside from the engine(Cummins).
I still think they are tin cans but that is a whole other topic.
You used to have to rebuild the front ends a whole lot more often then you should.
You touched on the transmission issues so I guess I don't need to go there.

Don't know who you think you're talking to.

You obviously just assumed I'd never owned one. I'm sorry my opinion didn't agree with your opinion which you've obviously confused with fact.

I've owned them, and know plenty of other people who have. Every one of them was garbage, just like every chrysler product I've ever owned.

Thing probably rolls off the assembly line with interior rattles, oil leaks, and tranny problems.
