Beef prices overall have been high this year. Something about droughts and the high price of feed and cattle cycles. Been eating more ground beef of late. Burgers, tacos, burritos, meat loaf, chili mac.

i really need to start using up this deer burger, it being frozen is kind of a pain in the ass.

now that I got the smoker been look around, the local butcher shop is like $3.xx/lb for ribs and all kinds of stuff, meanwhile publix sorry ass is north of $7/lb

We buy 40 lbs of beef at a time from a local Rancher/Butcher.
He also offers Pork and Chicken. All local grown. None of that mass commercial growers stuff.
Prices on par or lower than the local grocer. Quality is a ton better.

I order right from a distributor. Its nice being friends with a resturant owner. Last one i got was 9.80lb for choice ribeye...came in at 18lbs...its about 11 bucks a lb now...but im ok with that

I just don’t go through it fast enough to justify big quantities. I figure the price of a freezer and electricity will outweigh the savings
