Its the rear faux cap that will fade in time not to mention all the fine swirl scratches that will accumulate in time on the panel. Its also a Focal point of the rear end. Why not replace with a new one in the foreseeable future??? It wouldnt hurt. The rear tail lights are also prone to light swirlmarks if your not careful. Yes......I have replacements for them too......

A few years ago did a paint correction and pulled all the micro marring out of that panel. My pucker factor was up there. Historically speaking, look at past trends with Terminator stuff. 85% of the stuff is out of production. Some car parts are like guns, rather have it and not need it, than to need and not have.
