Removing paint from powedercoat

The painted on "ROUSH" on my calipers is coming off for some reason:

I got a set of high temp vinyl replacements in lime green but don't want to place them over the existing letters that are flaking off. Any suggestions for ways to remove the painted-on letters without harming the black powdercoat???

You can try chemical strippers first. Applied carefully with something like a Q-tip.

Try to keep the stripper off the powdercoat you want to save. it may change the color.
