Removing stripes

Just curious has anyone done it, if so how much residue is left underneath and what is the best chemical to get the glue off. I'm thinking of removing the side stripes.

Heat gun to remove.

Acrisol (sp?) and a clay bar

Grabbed the girls hair dryer, warmed the corner and started peeling. There was no residue left over. I deleted only the side stripes.
