I had an 85 GT back in 85. Fun car and for the times was very quick. I clicked off a 14.4 1/4 time stock.
is it a rule that auto reviewers have absolutely no driving skill whatsoever?
1883 Mustang GT started it for me. My brother had a 1984 White/Black GT that I would sit in and drool for hours.
I had an 84 GT, wish I had a picture of it. I dream of buying one today just to re-live my teenage years.
A clean 4 eye goes for decent money. I've always wanted an 85-86 LX notch 5.0 5spd. They're very rare.
Those old reviews are always fun to watch, and to compare the performance specs to the mega powered muscle cars that are available to us today. Review comments like, "it pumps out 175hp, 18hp more than last year" and "for you speed freaks, that translates to zero to sixty in 7.1 seconds". 
I do remember both the '82 and '83 Capri. But I never saw more than a couple of them back in the day. I definitely lusted after the Ford Mustang GTs of the same model years.

My friend had an '85 GT, I wasn't old enough to drive but I still remember going for a ride and thinking how fast and cool it was. I still love the look of the 85/86 cars over any other Fox body.
My dad bought my mom a new 83 RS. Black with red interior. It was supposed to be mine when I turned 16 but it met its demise in '90 by some asshole who run a stop sign. Thanks for posting this.

Had an '84 SVO that I still miss after selling it about 6 years ago. Still have a soft spot for those.
Yeah its a Pontiac Solstice, You see all sorts of everything on Woodward during the dream cruise.
