Rock is NOT dead. You just have to know where to find it, and hopefully this can be one of those places..

Puddle of Mudd released a new album a couple months back. After listening through it, here's the 3 best tracks:

1) Cash & Cobain
2) Man in the Mirror
3) U Wrekd Me

5 Finger has gone down hill since;
1). The lead singer got "sober"
2). The good members got tired of lead singers diva moments and left to go do other things

But your lists mirror my Google Play library

Here's some lesser known bands with some really good music, or bands that have changed their sound since they first got big. I've always wished the bands I've listed were more prevalent and well known because commercial rock is a joke, but these bands along with many others already listed display far more creativity and talent than what we see now days.

Don't mind listing out some of the best songs cause I'm listening to them and it reminds me how good some of these songs are.

He Is Legend - "China White III", "Attack of the Dungeon Witch", "I Am Hollywood", "The Widow of Magnolia", "Mushroom River", "Decisions, Decisions, Decisions", "Stranger Danger"

Brand New - "Degausser", "In the Water", "You Stole", "Bought a Bride", "Limousine", "Millstone", "Waste", "Same Logic/Teeth"

Teenage Wrist - "Afterglow", "Mirror Talk", "Kibo",

Loathe and Teenage Wrist - "Is it Really You?"

Thrice - "Scavengers", "Under a Killing Moon", "My Soul", "Treading Paper", "Atlantic", "Daedelus", "Like Moths to Flame", "Don't Tell and We Won't Ask", "Paper Tigers"

Norma Jean - "Careen", "Orphan Twin", "Safety Last", "Aria Obscura", "A Killing Word", "Sun Dies, Blood Moon", "Everlasting Tapeworm", "A Grand Scene for A Color Film" - Norma Jean has an amazing catalog of music if you can get into their style. They're mostly heavy but their more toned down stuff is some of their best like Careen and Sun Dies, Blood Moon which definitely has Tool influence to it.

Copeland - "On Your Worst Day", "Lay Here", "As Above, So Alone", "Strange Flower", "You Love to Sing"

At the Drive-In - "Arcarsenal", "One Armed Scissor", "Quarantined", "Cosmonaut"

Fit For a King - "Reaper", "Oblivion", "Tower of Pain", "Shadows & Echoes", "A Greater Sense of Worth"

Minus the Bear - "Pachuca Sunrise" and just about every other song from their over 2 decades long catalog. If you've never heard of this band you need to listen to them. One of the best alternative rock bands of all time and I never heard them ever get played on the radio and they are from Seattle.
