saw this car posted for sale. wondering if its a scam.

2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, $36,241 - Cars.com


no phone number listed. so i sent and email. just asking if the car's price is for real or a misprint. i get this back (in my junk email) (see below for email). no phone number again. and the company is in Fargo, ND. so i search for the company on google. seems like a legit website. no 2012 all black GT500 listed for sale though, but there is a 2011 black w/red stripes for sale for $31,000K... WTF? why so cheap?

that's the thing. the 2012 GT500 is listed for sale here in tucson on cars.com. so i should be able just to see if here in town. It could be a zip code typo, but Fargo's zip code is 58102 and tucson's zip codes are all 857XX. not very close. I understand sometimes people use consignment to sell cars, but AZ is not close to ND. why would some in tucson use a consigner in ND?

i wonder why both cars are so underpriced? that's sort of why i think its a scam. the cheapest 2012 with mileage even close to that within 500 miles is close to $50K not $36K. and that 2011 will less than 1,000 miles for $31k? come on... ridiculous.

is it possible cars are just cheaper in North Dakota because of its lack of population? that doesn't really explain why this car is listed in Tucson though.

I pretty much thought it was a scam. you sir, just confirmed it. what is the scam exactly? that they have a car but you can only pay by money order before they will let you see it? I mean, obviously whatever they are doing works to some degree otherwise why bother? call me old fashioned, but I would never, ever, ever buy a car without laying eyes on it and driving it, or atleast having a very trusted friend look at it for me to confirm its legitimacy

Called dealer licensing in ND - Not valid

I received the same email regarding a different vehicle I was saw on cars.com. When I searched google for the name and address, your post came up. It already seemed strange but seeing your same email and the same reason for selling made it clear. So I called dealer licensing in North Dakota and they confirmed it is a scam. Here is my email:
