I just got ordered my SCT x4. I was wondering if it is okay to run an SCT tune for about 2 weeks until my cat deletes and AED tune go on. Should I just wait? Factory tunes are terrible!

Since they are canned, it's always hit or miss since every car will react different to the same tune. You could feel a bump in power or it could run pig rich. hard to say. Could always upload the sct tune and datalog it. but then again, two weeks for AED isn't that long of a wait.

I doubt it would run rich. If anything the tune would run it lean. It would be safe to load the 91 tune, and use 93 octane. The 93 would prevent detonation/pinging.

I had a tune from one of the majors that was in the mid 10's. Called and they said it was normal. N/A 4.6

Just keep an eye on it

I wouldnt, just wait the 2 weeks.

If I had a dime for every canned tune that was removed for driveability concerns.
