Shaking car syndrome

When I start my car up I seem to be getting a lot of shaking. It dies down when I am at speed except around 55mph it gets pretty bad. 80k miles, I'm thinking new motor mounts are in store.

Sounds like mounts to me.

deff motor mounts at 80k..replace em..andmaybe do a tranny mount if you feel proud

It's a 96. The 4.6L DOHC, all stock engine except a K&N CAI.

i would try the mounts, inspect the balancer as well.. i know the 302's had a problem with coming apart.. but ive seen Crown Vic's and Explorers seprate as well..
