I just watched this video, and at the beginning they were already saying the guy was in there.

Yeah, that is what I was noticing, and it's likely why her lawyer went in that direction, having a very strong hunch. At 4:00 of the video the lawyer replied to the judge that she believed he was there. Her strong hunch was spot on. Good for her.

I knew he was there when the boyfriend wouldn't go outside as asked to confirm where he said he was, making an excuse that he only had 2% of his battery left, so at that point he was digging a bigger hole.
