Went last year and it was a blast!!
Took tons of great photo's. Probably the largest all Ford event I have ever been to. Not that many vendors, but lots to look at.

If you send me your email address, I would be happy to send a few choice photo's your way.

They had the "tiger pit" all those little Tiger's were cool! Didn't know there was a Tiger club..

The Boyd Mustangs were all parked together next to the Pantera's.

One of the cool ways the show is run.. The majority of the show field was all mixed up. For example, I parked my Cobra next to a fresh Edsel and on the other side of me was a 66 Shelby clone.
There was a hand made car there. This guy built a wooden body on a truck frame. It looked like a wooden station wagon with a big block Ford. The interior was incredible!

They got some cool carnival rides there and the glass bottom boats are pretty cool.
Shopping was ok too.. Stay at the Holiday Inn across the street from the Springs park. That place turned into a car show. The highlight was cruising around Ocala and hanging out with the Ft. Lauderdale Mustang club at the Ocala Ford dealership. Nice people and tons-o-fun.

A nice red classic AC Cobra parked next to me. He bought the car at a drug auction. It belonged to a big time dealer who had a Nascar engine built for it. That car was amazing!

Unless your going to Carlisle or some of the NMRA Fun Ford Events this year, the Silver Springs show is the ticket. Its winter, what else is there to do?

I'll be there. Looking for my cobra next to the NPD tent. Red 94 with Cobra R drivetrain....and now a Vortech. :)

"And now a Vortech"? COOL!!

The Pony Trails on Friday is also a very cool part of the Silver Springs Show. The meeting time is at 9am (I think) on Friday morning. Usually there are 100+ cars that show up. We get a police escort out to the interstate and then all 100 or so cars take a trip to a pre-designated location which has been Cedar Key the last couple of years. It is about a 1hr. cruise each way. Everyone can pick the eating establishment of their choice at the meeting location and the round trip takes about 4 hours. If you have never attended the Pony Trails event on the Friday before the Silver Springs Show, you are missing out!! Meet at NPD on Friday morning, make it 8am or so to be safe. When it is time to leave, Rick Schmidt hops into one of his NPD museum muscle cars and leads the pack.

One other treat that is missed by just coming to the show on Saturday is the NPD museum experience. Rick and his father have assembled a large number of specialty, muscle, and luxury cars from the 20's and 30's until current models. It is VERY COOL!!

A friend of mine and I have reservations at the Holiday Inn across the street from S.S., we are going up on Thursday night to participate in the Friday morning Pony Trail run.

I might be able to make it. I'm heading back to Tallahassee from So Fla around then, I could stop by and hang out for a bit.
