Would one of you guys look at your stock boost gauge
when the car is off and tell me where your needle points
to.

Is it on this side of the \0 or is it this side 0/?
Or is it dead center on the -O-

Mine is smack dab in the middle of the 0 hashmark with the car off. It is in the sam position with the engine running and no boost.

That's the same position it sits when off. That pic is at idle, no boost.

With the key off and the gauge in the static position, the pointer on mine sits with the right edge of the pointer aligned with the right edge of the first heavy gray bar on the left.

Picture is with car off, viewed from a slight angle. When viewed straigt on, it is directly over the 0 hashmark.

if you have to compromise, best to set the gauge for max boost rather than trying to zero the stock gauge.

Thank to all of you for your quick help guys.
Yes, I installed Ray's boost overlay & adjusting needle.
Easy to install but my boost gauge may have a problem.

Seems that for whatever reason the gauge when idle needs
to read & rest at 3-4 lbs to get the gauge correct on calibration
to read 10 & 15 lbs against the other gauge. The other gauge is
on as we checked it. We have gone deeper into the cluster to
a adjustment screw that Larry pointed out & we are trying to
get them coordinated to no avail so far.

good luck. it sounds like you went in further than what i would have thought of. if not you can put it back to original until you figure it out.
