The Italian restaurant I told you about that my wife and I ate dinner at last night had a testorossa and 360 Modena in the parking lot. It is common for my gym parking lot have a Rolls, multiple Porsches and S class Mercedes. They know how to spend it though. Lambos, Ferrari and I got a regular at work with multiple 570 McLarens.
I think the conversation is shifting more toward behavior than status. People who are pretentious stand out more than people who are affluent. Pretentious folk have the outward appearance of wealth and have nice things, but have maxed out credit cards and debt is a lifestyle. It’s been said most millionaires drive Fords, which I can believe. I happen to know some extremely, extremely wealthy people and the fanciest car they have is an F150 King Ranch.
