Has anyone ever done this or bought the steps painted to match and smoothed out? With my truck in the garage and not a lot of money I figured this would be a good mod to work on before spring comes. Please post any information that will help.

Thanks.

I saw those in the Stylin' Concepts catalog. Not sure they would look that good, in my opinion. Then again, I hate 22" rims too!

Some of the guys took their stock steps and smoothed them. I think KBZilla did this. I bought the smooth steps from Streetscene and had them painted. I also smoothed the tailgate handle and the little strip at the bottom of the tailgate. I like the look.

Yes all from streetscene except what I said I sanded. I'd bet that door panel is custom.

That's true. After seeing the room full of parts he has to install, his L is probably jealous because he spends more time at that damn tree.

I'm going to have a body shop do it. I'm sure they'll have to use poppers for the doors. They make a kit to move the tailgate handle inside the bed. That's the easy way to do the tailgate.

Yep, I smoothed and painted the stock steps myself :coolman: I did the side steps, rears steps, bumper steps, lower tailgate strip, tailgate handle, a few underhood pieces, and even the wiper cowl.
