And are superior in this application because they are round.

But then again all those square tube roll cages can't be wrong.


The only reason people make square tube sfc is ease of manufacturing and cost.

Is square tube easier to make? I would've thought that grabbing a length of DOM tubing, welding the ends shut and adding brackets would be significantly cheaper than the welding it takes for the boxed version.

Thanks everyone. I did some research on my own and ordered the Global West SFC from Summit today. $129.95 + $8 because they are oversized. Initially I called Global West first and they wanted $45 to ship and they would be coming from CA. I'm in PA, the Summit order is from OH.

I like the idea that round is the strongest material, they say they tuck up tighter than any other SFC, and I don't need to modify my Cobra Chassis.

I'll report back when they are installed.
