SN-95 IRS swap details

Hello everyone,

Im getting ready to swap my SRA for an IRS in my 94 GT next weekend and wanted to clear up a few things.

1) Can I keep my stock drive shaft or do I have to swap driveshafts?

2) Ive heard about having to make new brake lines? Can someone clear this up for me

Is there anything else I should know about the swap??

Yes you can keep your stock driveshaft but if you're going with an 03-04 IRS you will either need to install the pinion flange from your sra to the IRS or install a hybrid U-joint onto your driveshaft.

You need to modify your brake lines to mimic the 99-04 setup since 94-98 cars have a different line setup.

You will also need to drill two extra holes per side underneath the framerail where the IRS mounting brackets mount at the back of the frame.

You will have to use all possible slack from the emergency brake cables to fully mount them to the the brake calipers.

Don't forget that the IRS is wider than the 94-98 SRA
