This just blows me away! Noticed this car last November. It has been sitting outside of this hydraulic hose business ever since then. Never moves. We have had 40" of snow this February alone. Took some pics recently, just because of how unique they are! Just incredible it's outside getting destroyed. Wish I had more info to post here, but I didn't want to be nosey and asking the people inside the shop. Looks to have Shelby wheels, SS hood, if you look close it has upgraded seats/cobra embossed head rests, brake upgrade, Shelby rear quarter window delete.. looks to be a 07-09? Is this a Super Snake? My GT500 is such a garage queen. Only gets wet when I wash it. I couldn't fathom this being how I would treat mine
Lol damn. Yes, appears to be a SS. Wheels, hood, badges of course Sent from my iPhone using svtperformance.com
Maybe knock on the door and see of you can help with the problem. Someone could have passed and the other half doesn't feel like dealing with it. You may get a good deal on a purchase. Stay Safe Sent from my SM-G955U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
Very nice SS. Strike up a conversation with someone there. I've seen people treat valuable stuff a lot differently than I would. Just personal values I guess.
I bet it's got a bad engine, or something else major. Doesn't hurt to find out though. Report back with your findings.
Yeah. Thought about that. Those little bastards are notorious. I have bait boxes every 15 feet around my house. I refresh the blocks every Fall, and most are eaten! None in the house or garage though...
It’s not a SS, but still has a lot of nice parts on it. The badging, stripes and center caps aren’t SS. Car still has many desirable parts that are no longer available. I would definitely enquire about it.
Ha. Such abuse. I was down in FLL this past week. So many awesome cars. Loads of exotics, etc. I was wishing I could drive my car in the winter months, but would never dream of it with the snow/salt. Course on the way home from the airport, what passes me? A Mclaren covered in salt and ice! What a shame (or too much damn money)!
Maybe leave a note in a plastic bag on the windshield with any questions you have and a telephone # or e-mail address.
Now that is something you don't (fortunately) see very often. It's not going to hurt to knock on the door and inquire. You're most likely going to quickly find out why it's just sitting there. Strap on your SVTP Reporter badge and do the deed, and report back here.
Yes, I agree, it is not a Super Snake........I see the regular "cartoon snake" Alcoa caps, not Shelby Automobiles - Super Snake. I see White GT500 rocker stripes, not Black GT500 - Super Snake. I see the hood, but it was available to the public through Shelby Perf. Parts, as were the 1/4 window block-off plates in Black or Satin Silver.........and then the grill and fender wings say SHELBY GT500, not SHELBY GT500 on Left side and SUPER SNAKE on the Right side. The original headrests for a Super Snake build were a cover that had SUPER SNAKE embroidered in them. Still a cool car, too bad it is being left out in the elements to deteriorate.........I'll bet that bare steel 8.8 axle housing looks like........well, you know what moisture/water does to bare steel, I'll bet that everything under the hood that is alum., the intake, the timing cover, alt., etc. is a chalky White oxidized mess.........Sad..... I remember many years ago driving down a back road just outside of Swedesboro, NJ. As I went by I saw a flatbed unloading a Red Gen 1 Lightning along side of a building. On my way back, that same day, it was just parked there. Clean, straight, decent looking vehicle. Years and years passed and the truck just sat and damn near disappeared under bushes, tall grass etc. Just last year I noticed it was recently removed and now it's gone. Never did anything with it - Just left to rot. FYI - I wasn't stalking the truck/owner. I'm a Truck Driver and it's just a normal route I use. Which reminds me - I've been at my current job for over 25 years now...ugh
