Long story short, some medical issues caused my uncle to make this car sit for the last 10 or so years. It went to a shop to get fixed about 6 years ago and it has sat outside ever since, which is such a shame for this car. They know how I am with cars and recently told me some good news. I get to have it, for free. As long as I keep it. How can a guy like me pass this up? One of my favorite all time cars, in my hands, for nothing essentially?

Plans for it right now are a little skewed, but I am going to be that guy and put an LS in it. I currently have the 5.0 down for twin turbski's so whenever it is back and done, I will begin on this. Really leaning towards a 5.3, T56 magnum, RXT1200, Ford 8.8 rear, Weld RTS's, some weight reduction (as if it ain't light enough now), and a big turbo. I had the LSA thought in my mind, but the heads on the LSA and 5.3 are different and I didn't wanna have to mess with the adapter plates. Just thought an LSA build would make it a little different and a hell of a fun street car with the weight and torque it would produce.

I can't wait to get started and get this thing back to where it needs to be. I honestly might keep the exterior looking as it is; I will vinyl wrap it after I get it running how I want it. Don't expect anything to happen quick, the Mustang is still #1 in my heart lol.

Congrats! This should be a great project. I met a local guy a few years ago who basically did to his Mazda RX7 what you're planning to do. Killer project. Keep us posted as you progress.

I had a 93 RX7 with a street port, downpipe, cat back, FMIC and a Greddy T78 turbo. Put down 408 hp at like 15 psi and only weighed 2800 lbs. Crazy fast car.
