JK but I’m jealous you’re attempting race week. What class are you running?

Can you not do a nut-sert?
Looking into this now
I don't know if they make Riv nuts that big but that's what I'd look to do
Looking now, it’s an m10 bolt

Think I’m just gonna do bullseye where they draw a number out of a hat everyday. Any class I fit into I’m not tech’d to go fast enough to be competitive, bracket racing with a manual won’t get me anywhere either

it looks like this 2"x1" 1/4" thick rectangular washer for a carriage bolt from the hitch hardware kit would work perfect but need replacements to do both so looking that as well. being in a hurry sucks.

a buddy has a rivnut kit with m8 and m10 inserts so just gonna grab that from him on Monday and call it done unless when I go to the hardware store for bolts they have more rectangular carriage bolt washers/plates

What an ordeal… called several uhauls and found one with extra hardware. Managed to fish this into the frame rail and a 1/2” diameter carriage bolt (definitely helps to buy the bolt fish wire from curt hitches).

I guess I need to spring for some quality drill bits, didn’t think I’d ever get through that bumper.

Now back to full on sick week prep

I don't know what the crash supports are made from but they destroy drill bits. I chewed up a few nice ones mounting things on the front support. I sarted blowing a hole in it with my torch and cleaning up with a burr.
