had these wheels done up a few months back, just had never taken pictures worthy of showing them off. finally changed that and got some good shots while on a route 66 cruise.

this is a set of 03-04's that i picked up that had some bad rash on them, so i had them cleaned up and black chromed. i could not be happier! its exactly the look i was going for. the only issue i have was that my original center caps were melted on the first shot at chroming them, so i am stuck with aftermarket center caps for now.

Where did you get the wheels done. Have been thinking about doing that on mine. 03 DSG

What do you mean when you say you cleaned up the rash, can the wheels be brought back to "new like" conditions or what? Mine have some rash that I'd like to be brought back to pristine condition if possible.
Wheels look great too, how much did that run you?

wow, thats the first comment i have seen negatively about this setup. but thats fine everyone has thier own taste. considering the ratio of good to bad, i'll take it.

as for the rash as far as i know the machined them and i do not know a whole lot of the details, but they are perfectly flawless on the edges. i had wheel specialists inc fix them and send them out to be chromed. its not powder coating from what i understand. it was about 1k for the chroming and repairing the rash. seems kinda spendy, but for what i was seeing people get for chrome 03-04's, i am happy with what i have in them.

Looks great man! Maybe with that truck a little lower and a nite shot with a little lighting on the wheels though? Props for being the first, or one of the first, to have this done on the stockers!
