It can be done on a remote starter. You have to buy sometype of converter and then you have to do a combination shift and then leave the car in neutral. The one I saw went something like this:

Park brake, push clutch in, shift to first, second, reverse, leave in neutral, remote starter activated.

If you don't do the combination shift then the remote starter is not activated. This ensures that the car is in neutral otherwise it will not work. Go talk to your local car alarm installers. Places like best buy won't do it for insurance reasons.

There should be two switches on the clutch pedal. One at the top of the travel will de-activate the cruise control - the one at the bottom of the travel should be the one that allows the car to start. You'll have to poke around up in the Clutch quadrant area, but you need to find this switch and see what it does when the pedal is all the way down. It will either open or close a contact. If you disconnect the switch, and set the wires going to the switch to duplicate the "pedal down" situation, you should be able to do what you want. These days however, this modification may cause other things to happen. For example - on some 5 liter Mustangs with a T-5 transmission, Ford used one of the clutch switches to send a signal to the computer to pull timing out - this was to reduce torque available during a hard shift and help protect the transmission. Be careful, I'd hate to see you driving around with a permanent un-intended consquence.
