I wouldn't call it underpowered. While it's not going to blow anyone away with its power production, the 1.6 Ecoboost does make decent power. It does have some nice up side potential as well.

197 horsepower / 2700 lbs = 13.7 lbs/ hp. A figure bested by such notable sports cars as the Toyota Camry (12.9), Honda Accord (12.7), Mazda6 (13.1), 5.0L F-150 (13.0), etc. In fact, it's almost exactly the same a base V6 Taurus (13.9):sleeping:.

Perhaps underpowered is a bit harsh if you're comparing it to a garden variety rental car - "Adequate" might be more fitting - But if you're trying to market it as a performance vehicle for the enthusiast... I could get into both STs if they had the full rally car treatment: wide body, AWD and 600 hp. Now THAT'S a car for the enthusiast! If that's the potential you speak of, sign me up!

Unfortunately, most people are not willing to pay $65-70k for a compact car. I've been around a couple Focus RS 500s. Great cars, but serious money.

The new Scion isn't a bad looking car. It'll be much more appealing when it gets a turbo.

Toyota had some of their ventures into the world of racing on display.

This stuff looks to be basically Toyota in name only.

Fast and Furious Camry?

Big block Toyota?

Looks like a Hemi to me.

I like the paint color of this Toyota concept.

Maserati had a much larger display than in years past.

Meet Caddy's version of the Chevy Volt, the ELR.

Jag had lots of great cars to show off, but this one reminds me of a Panda.

Now this is more like it. Still, the wheels could be a bit more agressive

Drop top back so my hair can blow.

This tiny car appears to have a lot of safety built in.

Dream car of daddy's girls everywhere.

Not really a lot of people checking out the Hyundai booth.

This Cadillac V race car was pretty sweet.

The V lineup is filling out nicely.

Maybe I'm just missing my old Jeep Cherokee, but I always seem to gravitate to the Mercedes G-Wagon.

The Evoque is now available in a 4-door.

The headlights make this Jag look like it has anger management issues.

I think Jag is going after the youth market with this one.

I think this would make a good DD for me. I even like the color..

There's no losing this thing in a parking lot.

I really like this Honda roadster concept.

The Honda Civic Si interior falls far short of the one found in the Focus ST.

I like the stacked look of the Honda Urban SUV Concept's headlights.

The Acura NSX commanded lots of attention from the crowd.

The car just looks fierce.

At first I thought this guy was bowing down to the Acura.

2.0L EcoBoost on the wall.

Not the beefiest rods in the world, but not bad for a 4-banger.

The 2.0L EcoBoost features an internally waste-gated turbo from Borg Warner.

3.5L EcoBoost, the Ford V6 that terrifies Chevy 5.3 V8s.

A quick shot of the Ford Atlas concept interior.

I expect a lot of these design cues will make it through to production.

I don't think we'll be seeing the active wheel shutters on a truck anytime soon though.

The small screen in the back of the center console its a nice touch.

I really like these taillights and the tailgate.

They look almost like they could bolt on to the current model F-150.

The integrated ramps built into the bumper are nice, and would cut down on having to store a ramp when hauling an ATV.

I have a feeling that this is what the next Super Duty front end is going to look like.

I think the headlights look great.

I'm please to see that they load the blue oval up with more growth hormone.

Everything is going to have LEDs in the headlights it seems.

It just looks imposing from this angle.

The Focus Electric would make a great DD around Myrtle Beach or most places really.

This group of Henry Fords were on hand to answer questions about the Ford Motor Company.

This car is just begging to have an SVT version of it made.
