Swapping for an '03 Cobra Engine

Want to know the pro's and con's to this swap. If anyone has done it can you give me an idea of a price for the swap. Any advice to make this easier would be awesome. I plan on doing this swap after I come home from Iraq next spring. I already have the 03 Engine and Trans. Thanks in advance guys!!

Well the motor and trans is a drop-in swap as long as you have all the associated wirring, ecu, cooling plumbing, etc etc. You will also need a modified driveshaft for the correct length.

You can use an 03-04 cobra driveshaft, just make sure and use the pinion flange from an 03-04 cobra irs.

I do believe that you can use your stock 96 gt wiring harness and ecu but there are a few connections that will have to be lengthened or pigtails swapped but its not that big of a problem. Onlly thing with the stock 96 harness is that you will have to run the coil packs unless you install a COP conversion harness or use the entire 03-04 cobra wiring/ecu.
