T45 fluid change to help synchros?

I recently picked up a 99 Cobra. The stock T45 transmission has the typical second gear synchro problem. It shifts fine if I'm deliberate on the 1-2 shift but if I try to hurry it, it'll grind every time. I know the ultimate fix is to rebuild or replace the trans but at the moment neither of those options is in the cards. Sometime this winter I will do one or the other but in the meantime I'm wondering if there's some type of fluid I could change to or add in that might help the synchros work better. Anybody have any experience with anything that works? I'm not looking for perfection here, just something to make it a bit better for four or five months.
