lol how does it not?

03/04 Cobra's are known as Terminators from their development stages inside Ford R&D. There for taking that drivetrain that makes a terminator a terminator and putting it in something else would make it terminated.

Look up the definition of terminated and see if that describes your car lol. Now the old 03/04 cobra that donated its drivetrain to your car is the terminated one lol.

The only thing I would change about this car is that gas cap cover back to stock.

You hit the nail on the head when you said you broke some necks at that cruise.
Definitely.
Great work.

Looks great OP, reminds me of my 02 GT. Pretty much the same exterior set up except I had a Mach 1 hood and shaker on it.

I wanted a Mach 1 set up.

I had the shaker parts, could not find a hood. When I did find a hood people wanted $1,000. Shoot I even found damaged ones for $500. So I went the 95r route instead.

Sold my forward offset MM control arms.

Did not like how they looked, also the front tires scrubbed in the inner wheel wells. It was annoying.

Picked up some standard offset in MM's garage sale section for a good deal. Should be here today.

And it looks like all my Powdercoating needs cleaned, sheesh get caught in the rain once and it looks like the car has 100k miles on it lol.

My buddy made a BULLITT sticker for my gauge, figured I would try it out.

Califas, guey!
Bro, I have never, ever coveted a man's car the way I covet yours. You have done such an incredible job. The attention to detail is amazing, and it's everything I can do to not throw out a ridiculous $$ offer to put it in my stable.
If I didn't have a terminal disese, I would have already made it. Have to be smart, so my kids can go to college, and my wife can live somewhat comfortably after I'm gone.
Well done boss. I hope I can have the pleasure of seeing that car in person one day!

Few updates and pictures to share.

I swapped in the standard offset control arms and adjusted the ride height for the 15th time lol.

At the same time, I changed the alternator because it started to give me issues. I was about to go on a 1000 mile Northern Michigan Fall color tour.

I just added this custom OEM Flat Bottom alcantara wrapped steering wheel. I have the number 2 prototype from ninetynine50 and Redline Goods and I am stoked at how it turned out.

This is my winter project.

I am going back through my IRS.

The current set up is Delrin bushings everywhere, 4.10's, FRPP cover, MM full bump steer kit, mm sway bar bushings, MM adjustable end links and some powder coated goodies.

78D9DFB4-5E61-43E1-8691-A5DA392E5ED3_zpsnswkzsw8.jpg

Had it out in an hour or so.

CBB9E0A2-189F-451D-AC3D-199467637A72_zpsdm0c2qrr.jpg

took everything apart.

529CD9E2-E971-4923-85D2-CD303945B265_zpswvgcqr2r.jpg

Here is the plan.

3.55 gears
powder coated subframe
powder coated control arms (upper and lower)
powder coated rear calipers
Urethane Subframe bushings
Re polish exhaust and call it good.

The delrin subframe bushings transfer a lot of unwanted noise and vibes through the whole car. I am hoping the urethane on the subframe only will isolate that.

I scored a factory oem low mile pumpkin all ready to go. It was a much easier option than paying for gears and having them set up again.

I added my delrin dif bushings and FRPP cover with lube locker gasket.

I had a minor clunk in the rear end, we found the upper control arm bushings came loose in bores of the arm. I had my buddy machine new ones. He did a quick update on his design and we should be good to go!.

Good call on the IRS. I did full poly and powder on mine and I love it. No added NVH and its still alot stiffer than stock. I would do the adjustable toe links and the FT1800's while you are in there!

I already have the adjustable tow links and bump steer kit from Maximum Motorsports.

You are doing a great job! I built a 1997 Cobra Terminator, and a 2001 Convert w/Mach drivetrain, plus I have done some others and rebuilt a few 'broken" Terminators for friends. I actually built a special dolly to sit the engine/trans/suspension onto for removal and assembly.

If I knew how to post pics, I would put up a few.

Can't wait to see your finished car!

Walt
Walt.....pm sent
None as of the last few days. Just been staring at my maximum Motorsport purchase in my living room lol

Doing an inventory of what I have this weekend and the Bullitt should be going under the knife Sunday.

Goal is to have the engine and trans out of the Bullitt and it back on the ground as a roller to make room for this guys gt that my engine is going into.

very nice!

Got a shit ton done tonight.

Dash Harness was swapped. Ran into a few hiccups. thought I took enough pictures, ended up taking a few minutes of staring at the harness to figure out exactly how it went. I got it done though. Gauge cluster was swapped as well. Dash is ready to go back in.

Both dash harnesses on the ground

All ready to go back in.

Next on the list, swapping the PCM Harness. This was NOT fun.

All of that bull shit had to come out of this small fire wall hole.

New computer installed and some how got that damn harness fished back through and plugged in

If anyone has ever done a clutch quadrant install while the dash and seats are in, it's lame sauce x1000. Not that it is hard, just super awkward laying on your back with a flash light. I figured this was a good opportunity to tackle this job. took me 5 minutes lol.

8A6F5184-8890-4E46-8E9D-7F500A4AC709-5892-000002AB503761E6_zps0d788d1d.jpg

swapped the Cruise control box and cable over to the 03 cobra unit, Don't worry my anal retentive side took some steel wool to it and got the red over spray off LOL!

A183DBDD-4587-46B2-9088-AFF87E265211-5892-000002AB574B1E82_zps18f4ab52.jpg

Clutch cable, and Maximum Motorsports fire wall adjuster and quadrant installed. Cruise Cable and Throttle cable all swapped over to 03 Cobra stuff.

So I ran into some issues with the Front bumper and heat exchanger. The Bullitt bumper did not have slots for the brackets. I hopped in the truck and ran to my buddy's who bought the Fobra Body. I stole the bumper off of it lol. I can either cut slots in the Bullitt bumper and order a new 03/04 cobra foam piece. Or I can spray bomb this red one green and order the same 03/04 foam absorber thingy.

While I had the heat exchanger on, I decided it was a good time to test fit the bumper cover and see what it looks like regarding the SVT.

Can barely see the SVT. I will for sure be adding a Mach 1 chin spoiler to cover the heat exchanger hanging down.

Starting to look like a terminated Bullitt engine bay,

Took care of the intercooler pump, forgot to post pics. But it looks factory.

Here is the 2 Green wires with yellow tracer I was talking about.

I went in the basement and got the old body harness from the Fobra, traced the wire to a connector in the trunk area. It was for the Fuel Pump driver. needless to say that is pretty important.

7A3B5554-DC0E-4860-AABB-57574692A801-1254-00000058D43A846D_zpscc1b7330.jpg

I spent the evening stripping the interior the rest of the way out to swap the entire body harness. Didn't take me very long to be honest.

Pulled the carpet out.

and one by one, started pulling christmas trees.

I then spent an hour or so, retaping new christmas trees into the harness. I wasn't very careful pulling the body harness from the Fobra, didn't think i would need it. Well that bit me in the ass. oh well.

Tomorrow plan to paint the bumper, get the heat exchanger on solid and get the bumper cover back on and headlights back in.

Picking up my parts from powder coat tomorrow cant wait!
