Can someone tell me if the factory cluster boost gauge is Mechanical or Electronic? Has anyone removed a cluster? How is the gauge connected?
Thanks, I have a project in mind but need to know if this would work. :coolman:

its mechanic, there is a black boost hose that connects into the back of the speedo,
you can see the black hose behind/underneath/right of the steering wheel

Here's a shot of the back of the cluster...yes, its mechanical.

EDIT: It's the brass-colored fitting.

Sir, not to disagree, but here is a pic of my '04 GT with a Bullitt Cluster. They are interchangable, you just have to swap out the circuit boards.

The Bullitt was an option for a GT, that's why that worked.

When I left the circuit boards alone, the car wouldn't start. I would need to get the PATS reprogrammed for it to work. BUT, when I swapped the circuit boards, the car started right up and everything was fine. I guess the only way to know for sure is to try it.
