Ahhh there’s the difference. The LS series is a garbage $900 turbo. I’mCheck out this video... the 7675 doenst flow enough on the hot side for Ford 4 valve motors in my opinoin and many others.
The intro is hokey but ffwd to about the 2:00 mark and he describes the differences. His car was falling off HARD up top and actually not making the amount of boost his wastegate springs should have allowed. I.E., he had 7 o 8 psi springs in the gates and the car was only makin 5 psi boost because the hot side of the turbo was choking the motor so bad. Some of his other videos explain this as well.
I believe this is the same exact turbo you are running... the Precision LS series 7675.
The intake manifold you have is a beauty and i seriously doubt its the reason your car is lacking up top... worth looking into sir!!
There is however a significant difference in the amount of exhaust/air they move under load. .96 exhaust housings are what I’ve used exclusively on 4v single turbo cars for quite some time now with great success. While anything is possible, I’d highly doubt that the turbo in this case is the culprit. It very possibly could be that the clogged injector is the sole cause. There is no difference in wheel size though.. that's what matters. Compressor is 76mm and exhaust turbine is 75 (too small). Along with that .96 exhaust housing you are using.... likely too small.
Come get itMan I wish I had room for this, it is so well thought out and executed. I can't wait for you to finish just to drool over it.
Gracias. It really ties in the turbo, alternator and BOV nicely...not to mention the polished lips on the wheelsPersonally I like the polished intake better too. Good move.
Injectors cleaned and each flowing 1300cc. And here’s your new engine bay. Just when I didn’t think I could like it more than before.....I love the added polish of the HPP sheetmetal upper on top of the bronze Sullivan lower (the keen eye will notice I had the rails done in wrinkle blue to match the valve covers). Let’s try this whole dyno thing again lol
Shout out to my buddy Geoff who bought my last build for agreeing to swap intakes. You’re a solid dude!

I am freezing looking at that picture!! It is in the 50s here and it's cold.
Looking back at the engine bay pictures, I like the new hat because it shows the intake runners better but I think I liked the color on the old hat for some reason. That is one of those things that is purely subjective though.
Thanks very much sir!Beautiful build man!!! Awesome color and car looks cherry!
