The famous trans whine... (Early '11 MT82)

Taking the ol girl in Friday to the dealership I used to work at to get it checked out. Anybody recently have theirs checked/fixed? Doing a lot of reading, I am still assuming it's coming from a bad input shaft bearing? :nonono:

Lots of metal in the fluid. Ford told them to scatter the trans.

Really? Mine is dead quiet........ I have Amsoil MTG running through its veins since 600 miles. 2 years later and still quiet.

My 12 is somewhat whining after a day of beating it at the track

Mine has whined since 3200 miles when I bought it and now has near 26k on it! They can't get the front end noise fixed so why would I be happy with them keeping in for weeks to fix trans?

My 2011 is at the dealer right now for the same thing. Going on 2weeks. No word if they have fixed the problem yet or not

Talked to my old parts manager today, they have a parts list but were waiting on Ford to tell them what to do. He wasn't sure what the problem was right then though.
