There are currently no regulations on the wear rate of tyres and little regulation on the chemicals they contain. Emissions Analytics has now determined the chemicals present in 250 different types of tyres, which are usually made from synthetic rubber, derived from crude oil. “There are hundreds and hundreds of chemicals, many of which are carcinogenic,” Molden said. “When you multiply it by the total wear rates, you get to some very staggering figures as to what’s being released.”
I've been sayin' this for a long time, 20k years from now when contemporary man is excavating they'll find a thin layer of rubber from all the tires that have worn down.
Maybe they'll name it the rubber age... ;-)

Mopar fans, we've got good news! The next-generation Dodge Charger will offer both a full-electric version and a gas version.
Saw a headline that Ford postponed a $12bill EV investment as well. Love that they are all saying "postponed" when we all know that really means they cancelled the program.
The engine itself will probably be really strong, but the valvetrain and accessory components that will be a major headache and lead to engine failures.
