Think I found a good deal

I found a 03 Mach 1 for sale for $8000. The replaced engine and transmission has 40K. It was replaced with the correct motor from a local Ford dealer. Also clutch only has 10K. It has a few mods such as L/T prochamber, diablo and 4.30 gears Here is the link:

It checks out okay carfax and autocheck. Autocheck rates simlar cars on a scale. On scale form 70-83, this car got a 87. Also, I will have a local shop run a diagnostic on it.

8K?...has it been in an accident? 8k seems quuuuuiiite low for a low mileaged mach.

According to Carfax and Autocheck, it has never been in an accident. But now I am not so sure about the car. He took it off Craigslist. I emailed him and he said the car is in the shop. It had a "minor problem".

Price is low for the mileage even with the new engine and tranny! Something sounds funny about that car?

My buddy got a steal for a bone stock DSG Mach with 82k on it for about that same price. Crazy thing is even that mileage on it they can still get around 10-12k.
