Thinking out loud - any lower intake mods?

I remember seeing a post not too long ago that had a CAD pic that someone played around with and said it would be possible to port the lower intake a bit to allow for better air flow entering the heads. Beyond those pics has anyone actually tried anything with this? I tried searching for the pic but can't seem to find it. Would the main benefit from something like this be to lower intake temps to allow for higher timing or would there be naturally more power just from the better air flow? Also, does anyone know how much work is involved with removing the lower intake to play around with something like this?

waste of time porting the lower, just add cooling mods (Evans stuff, RR Spacer, PFAB, GORDS) and boost, carry on.

Postban's right... the spacer is the only viable flow enhancer I've seen for the lower yet...
And if you want more timing... get the IAT2 AND the engine coolant temps down...
If you really want to add timing.... go waterless coolant ;-)

Jimmy
