These are up in the GT500 forum but I know many of you have no reason to go there. So here's a recap:
With a litte pressure from one of our members here, I'm happy to say I have a tease of the vids to come here. Excuse the zoomed in camera :bash: I'm not sure how that crap happens! :shrug: It's still decent footage. :-D
I've had a little bit of time to work on some vids from the recent VIR event. The particular encounter with the Black Griggs equipped GT700KR came when I was giving my studnet Ryan a ride and explaining some of the Full Course driving technique with him.
The C5-Z06 Corvette that had just passed me is directly in front of us at the beginning of the footage. This particular Z06 was there for the prior two days as well and I just had nothing for the guy as I was always with a passenger. Needless to say I was at about a 700# disadvantage to the guy! :dw: So I was happy to see this black Griggs car hand out a spanking to him as well. The Griggs car passed the Z06 about :54 into the footage.

Are you referring to South Course? That video is not all that exciting. I was doing just fine behind you until the "Corvette jamb car" got trapped between us and you checked out while I had to drive in first gear riding the brake behind the Corvette until he let me by!! :fart:

The portly GT500 enjoys a day at Full Course VIR. Almost the perfect track for this car. It likes to stretch it's legs. It doesn't like short tight tracks. Although the car might have looked a little slow on track giving students rides when I encountered the Griggs GT700KR, it sort of holds it's own on the track with a passenger and GVWR of a stout 4,200#.
The car has morfed from a "I'm not going to mod it much" to a "capable back-up track car with a few mods". When you have two other track cars which neither of them have motors right now, it's a good thing I have this car. :read:
