The only side window louvers I would consider would be the flush mount ones that you have to remove the glass to install.

If you're talking about the factory louvers (which IMHO are ugly as sin) they don't use double sided tape, but instead a bead-lock type system.

The louvers are held in place by the bead lock which is placed on the window. Simply pry on the edges of the louvers until the beads separate. Then, use a razor blade to remove the adhesive side of the bead-lock strips.

Great looking car but damn those louvers make it look way to rice rocket/jc whitney for me!
