So here are some pictures of my 18" AFS with 305 R888. My question is, are the wheels popping out too much and that is why I have the inner tire rubbing with the IRS subframe? Will going back to the shop and them adjusting it help any with the rubbing or do I need spacers? If I do, what brand and size spacers do you guys recommend?

i have 315s on 18 inch afs wheels and they don't rub at all i have low pro bolts though. they did rub when the car was lifted but once on the ground had plenty of clearance. the wheel sticks out because those tires don't have a rim protector. also are you stock height? that maybe why your rubbing.

I'm on H&R Race springs with 1 iso on the rear and low pro irs bolt. I have good clearance when car is sitting and on good roads but contact was made with the irs frame on driver side and fender on passenger side on bumpy and pothole road. I did have the car weighed down by a heavier passenger so that might have been the case. I'm going to see how it goes with a 1/4 spacer and I'm probably going to add the other iso to be safe. Full iso in rear and none in front will have me really raked...

That is what I thought but someone else here said this is normal bc these tires don't have a rim protector. Any other opinions? Should I take them in?

I think it's fine. As mentioned, the R888's just don't have the rim protector like most other tires today have.

This is how my last set fit:

lots of good info in here! i have a full set of 18-8/18-11 TF mach 5's for my 04..i know its all up to how the car is driven, etc that effects exactly how long the tires will last, but i'd like to get at least 8000 out of a rear set.. noticed a few people are running 335/35's? i was thinking of the 315/30s on the rear, car has full M-M suspension front and back, coilovers all four corners, low profile rear bolts..think the 315/30 will look to "narrow" on the 11" wheels?

I just put some R888 305/35ZR18 on my 10" rear wheels. (I did not need the low profile IRS bolts or a spacer. I am on stock suspension)

I'm headed to Willow for their drag day which will be set up on the main straight, but I've heard traction can be limited.

What is the best tire pressure to run these tires at the strip.

Also, what pressure do you guys run these on the street in cold weather vs. hot weather. Since we are in the winter, I assume you guys in the know are dropping the psi.

Hey guys, so I almost went through all the pages and found one page where someone asked if the r888's are just as wide as the mt et street DR (275's specifically) and I couldnt find any replies. Im currently running 315 nitto DR with 17x10.5 on my fox, I know they run pretty narrow. I know for a fact I cannot run r888 315's in the rear, they seem pretty wide. Anyone here running 275/40 r888's on 17x10.5 wheels (with pics)?

I ran that size on my Autox wheels which are stock terminator wheels (17x9). They fit just right so I feel a 10.5 would stretch the tire and look a little off. Have you checked Toyo's specs to see what width they say the tire will fit?
