I ran that size on my Autox wheels which are stock terminator wheels (17x9). They fit just right so I feel a 10.5 would stretch the tire and look a little off. Have you checked Toyo's specs to see what width they say the tire will fit?

Im hoping they are just as wide as MT ET street DR. Ive seen people with the MT 275/40 on 17x10.5 and they're not stretch at all. I dont like the stretched look either, I hope someone chimes in with some pictures. I found this on google for the r888 275/40
Proxes R888 features:
-Approved rim width range: 9.0-9.5-11.0 inches
-Weight: 29 lbs
-Tread depth: 0.19 inches
-Tread Width: 10.9 inches
-Inflated dimensions: 25.7 in O.A.D. and 11.0 in O.A.W.
-Static Loaded Radius: 11.9 inches
-Maximum Load: 1653 lbs.
-Maximum Pressure: 51 psi.
-Revs/Mile: 809

Right now my 315 nitto DR sit really close to 12in overall width. I would go with some 17x9s but im already used to the width I currently have. Thanks for your reply !

So I did a little more research and found 17x10 wheels on r888 275/40 pics. They dont look bad at all, they dont look stretched to me. They look flush, I dont think the extra half inch would make it look bad. What do you guys think ? Edit. The bmw is sporting 17x10s at all four corners with 275/40 r888. Found a couple pics of this s2k sporting 17x10 wheels but on 255/40 r888's, they look pretty squared on the wheel.

any one know when Toyo 888 will be made available?
I'm looking for rear tires of my 03 Cobra. I kinda had my heart set on toyo proxy 888. The problem is I can't find them anywhere and I hear they will not be available until June, which just will not work. Anyone know where I could find a set 315 30 18? If not, any recommendations on other brands? I do drive on wet roads / rain sometimes. Thanks for the help.

Why not go with the 305/35/18? This tire runs quite wide compared to others, and I'm going to be running them on a TF 18x11 rim. Oh and TireRack sent me an email that mine shipped out today.

I think I'm going to go with nitto nto1??.. Same rubber compound, same tire mold. Only thing different I'm told is the tread pattern.

And the R888's have been known to last longer from what I've been told. Give them a shot if you truly think you need a 315 tire.

if you go with the NT01's don't EVER get caught in the rain. I know it looks like they have some sort of tread but they really don't. that are slicks. I have some with about 600 miles on them. Took them off as soon as I could. Now they sit in the garage.

How wide of a rim? The r888 bulge quite a bit on my 18x10's. And those are 305. Even if you have 10.5 inch rim a r888 in a 315 will bulge.

If going with a toyo R888's and I had a 10.5 inch wheel, I'd be getting the 305/35/18. Seriously you will have some bulge with a r888 315 tire. I don't know why the 315 is stuck in your head!? I've seen people with TF wheels on 18x11's with the 305 tire and the fit is perfect. Here is mine, you can thank me later.

Just ordered my 305/35/18's yesterday! Tirecrawler.com has them in stock! As well as the 335/30/18's. They also have free shipping! Was going to go with the Proxes TQ's again like last year but they are on nationwide backorder.

They will be going on these...

315s here on 18x10 wheel. Do I need 315s? Hell no, but I love the look of a fat tire in the rear and it fills out just to the edge of the fenders on my Mach. Also the 315s were $60 cheaper than the 305s for the pair when I was looking around (probably bc the 305s are more popular).

No Ragrets.

305's are taller because the 35 sidewall, I'd imagine that bumps up the production cost hence making them priced higher.
