Trimming the antenna

I like the homemade versions. How much is being cut off the stock antenna?

I cut right where the skinny part of the antenna goes into the thick part. Just snipped it right off with wire cutters. Made a nice clean cut.

I'd like to thank VJ for posting this. The OEM cut down makes for a PERFECT match in color and OEM look IMO. :rockon:

$2 for the vacuum tips 6 come to a pack. Lol!!

Did this to mine today. I looked at the piece i cut off and it looks to be a fiberglass material or something similar. But great and free mod

^Holy mother of god! I've never even seen a stock -04 antenna lol. All my buddy's have shorty's and my 94 had a shorty when I bought it. Yeah these aren't so bad

These aren't really that bad, try looking at a -04 mustang's antenna, thats a fishing pole.

Here's my sportsman rod from my cobra lol, never added a shorty.

Props to Vicousjay. I would have probably never cut my antenna and spent 25 bones. I nipped off the top and a little paint on the tip where the cut was made and you don't even know that it was cut.

25 dollars richer ...nice!
