Trunk release revisited.

Does your key fob release work when the key is in the ignition? Mine does not. Maybe a safety feature?:??:

You have to push the button located in the glovebox to open it when the engine is running. ;-)

.......and the transmission in neutral with the key in OFF position. Isn't this a safety feature to prevent the trunk from opening while the car is moving?

P.S. If my memory is correct, my trunk will open when I push the button with the key in the ignition and in the OFF position. Not 100% sure, though.

It opens with the key in the ignition, in the off position.

JUst checked - even with the key off it won't work,
