I'm air force vehicle maintenance... I already had experience as a mechanic as a civilian and I can tell you the rate at which you learn leaves a lot more to be desired... If you're starting from ground zero I could see it being okay. Basically if you wanna be a parts replacer go for it...

Interesting, I've always seen our vehicles off base at Ford/Chevy dealerships.

We send em downtown every once in a while when they're new and still under warranty.
