TSB For Fuel Mileage on the New Super Duties

Supposedly just came out and Ford is trying to hide it for some reason. It increases fuel mileage to almost 20mpg just by this recalibration.

If you have an 07 or 08 Superduty with the 6.4 Turbo motor then contact your dealer about TSB 08-13-02 and 08-13-03

They are probably doing what they did to the 6.0s and de-tuning them so they don't blow parts everywhere:shrug:

I didn't know they were having issues with the 6.4L. I know it is still relatively new but the Spartan Diesel tunes are really kicking butt and I don't know of any 6.4Ls that have failed.

They are not as bad as the 6.0s when they were first launched, but some have had some problems. But overall the motor from what I have seen and experienced seems to be great. Common Rail FTW!

The Diablo tunes for the 6.4 run very well, I'd suggest trying one of those.

Are you asking if the tunes increase fuel mileage? If so... YES. It looks like about 4-5 mpg (Spartan Diesel tune). There are a lot of variables though.

Going by the dates it looks like it was started when the Spartan Diesel tunner wasn't even out yet... so it was just speculation.

The Diablo tunes for the 6.4 run very well, I'd suggest trying one of those.

they don't make 550rwhp like the spartan tunes though. Spartan is leading the pack right now for the 6.4, with sct behind them.
