I bought a 42'' sanyo flat screen it looks great when i play my 360 on it but just watching tv it does not look that clear i called sanyo and they told me to go exchange it so i did and it didnt help anything what should i do next maybe call dish network any ideas?

get high definition and connect the HD box using an HDMI cable
I think your first problem was buying a Sanyo. Take it back and get a good black friday deal on a Sony or Samsung, or just get a Vizio. Then go to avsforums.com and search for your specific model to get good picture settings that will maximize the color and all that. Make sure you are using all HDMI cables between components.
