Lol, that look on his face when he finally puts some foot into it.

Funny how things change over the years. I remember when Aric was at Team with Jeff (Mo's still?), Dillard (ProLine) still had his green cobra, Ron (Vengeance) had his red SS, Ivey with the supra and so many more at Barrett ripping up the streets. That seems like ages ago now. Aric was always the wiz kid with the modulars and it shows.
That car is tits, I saw it one day on my way in to work. Very unassuming but I'm sure that's a bad bitch on the highway. Looks like he was coming back from Acworth on 41 in the vid, the owner live up here by me?
That's one sick ride. Very nice.
Is the flex using the O2s for content reading or does it have an actual flex sensor. I've been reading up on the flex setups for S550 5.0s and have seen people using the O2s. Why hasn't anyone figured out a way to incorporate a true ethanol content sensor with these flex tunes? I don't like relying on the O2s for econtent % changes. Hijack a useless ECU input and run a GM 5v sensor to this input. Then write the code / tables in the ECU for the reading.

It's rare for me to see another guy named Aric. Hey this Ivey you mention is a large guy? Used to run around with Chris Kinard?
Aric, we've used the upstream O2s for ethanol content readings for a while now on these flex fuel setups, without any issues. If its not broke dont fix it, know what I mean? We get all of our E85 from a very reliable source, and train our customers well on testing E85, and which stations to go to, etc etc. Works well.
Hope this helps
I think that is why they tune with lambda (I think Ford calls it lambse) versus tuning with a stoich number. The lamda value is fuel/stoich agnostic. Regardless of fuel, just shoot for a number around .80 (I'm making an educated guess on the safe number) and let her rip.
I think the button that the guy was pushing just changes the boost curve? I think the ECU is taking the data from all of its sensors to change the fueling and timing automatically with that data.

@earico see above.
There is no tune switch necessary, and as I stated earlier we use tried and true fuel, and customers are trained on how to test the fuel etc etc
Sorry I am just looking for more of an explanation than it just works. Relying on the O2 to back figure e content based on fuel trim adjustments works but is a crude implementation IMO. It's all fine til there is a vacuum leak and it starts running higher timing because it thinks you upped the ethanol content when you really didn't. I can see getting away with this N/A. I'm just not a fan in a FI application.
Trying to do my homework because I am considering getting into the platform myself. I'll hit the tuner forums and see if i can get a better understanding of how accurate this is without an actual e content sensor.
You are correct about the potential issues with this system, any leak before the wideband sensor can be catastrophic on a boosted motor.
You forgot Ty, Sticks (Rons skinny ass mini me with the black Camaro), Rodney with the red coupe, Stoney with the blue coupe, and Dillard when he had his ladder bar black lx hatch with my D1 off my car on it years before the green 97 cobra.. Lol. And what was Dillard's roommate that had the 650hp eclipse name? I can't remember. You may even remember me I had the black 93gt with 97 cobra wheels with the d1 on it. Loud as ****. Lol.
